Located in the mountains of Banner Elk, North Carolina, this new-build home was designed to embrace a relaxed, modern interpretation of mountain living. Our role was to furnish the home from the ground up, creating interiors that felt warm and inviting while complementing the home's dramatic setting, rustic architectural details, and expansive views.

The design blends clean, contemporary forms with natural materials and textures to create a true mountain-modern retreat. Warm wood tones, leather upholstery, relaxed textiles, and thoughtfully layered accessories soften the home's soaring ceilings and open-concept living spaces. A significant portion of the furnishings was sourced from Four Hands, whose mix of modern silhouettes and organic materials helped establish the casual, collected character of the home.

The main living area was designed as a comfortable gathering space, centered around the fireplace and framed by large windows that bring the surrounding mountain landscape indoors. Furnishings were selected to encourage connection and conversation while maintaining an effortless sense of style. Throughout the home, each space carries a cohesive balance of rustic warmth and modern simplicity.

One of the home's standout features is its custom bunk room, designed to maximize both function and fun. Wrapped in rich wood paneling and filled with built-in bunks, the space creates a memorable retreat for children and guests alike. Additional entertaining areas, including a game space and outdoor gathering area, extend the home's hospitality beyond the main living spaces.

The finished home is a welcoming mountain escape—modern yet relaxed, refined without feeling formal, and designed for making lasting memories with family and friends.
